Mandatory Water Restrictions

Mandatory Water Restrictions in San Diego Begin Monday, June 1:

Don't forget to adjust your sprinkler timers to coincide with the days and times you are allotted to water your property during the mandatory water restriction (June 1 through October). Even addresses may water only on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, odd addresses may water only on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. Apartments, condos and businesses can only water on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Watering lawns and landscape can only occur 6 pm through 10 am and only 10 minutes per station.

If washing your car at home, you can only do so 6pm through 10 am, using only a bucket and hose with a shut-off nozzle.

If you feel the regulations are a hardship on you, you may apply for a hardship variance. For more details on the restrictions, variances, enforcement, etc., click here: http://www.sandiego.gov/mayor/pdf/090504water.pdf. You can also visit www.sandiego.gov/water.
