COMMITTEE REPORTS:
A. Maintenance … Karen Wiley
• Punch List Items – A new punch list was given to US Lawns and reviewed. Just a couple of items from last month were not done.
• Irrigation Schedule – US Lawns is watering 5 days a week. Some areas are on for between 10 to 30 minutes. May need to cut back on the amount of time.
• Theft of Back Flow Unit – On 6/19/08 we had one back flow unit stolen. We had to have emergency repairs done for over the weekend and replaced the unit for $2076, including a cage covering. We went ahead and painted all the rest of the back flow units. Discussion on covering the rest of the back flow units with cages. It was decided not to purchase any more cages at this time. We may want to consider installing some plants to help conceal the units better. We did file a police report on this theft.
• Trimming of Entry Palms – Davey Tree completed the work on 6/30. There was no damage to the lights. There were 3 sprinklers damaged and US Lawns made repairs at no cost.
• Status of Entry Lighting – Jim Coote reported he repaired a few fixtures and replaced some bulbs.
B. Communications/Newsletter – Next newsletter to go out in September. Will do articles about garage doors; theft of back flow unit; street crack update.
C. Long Range Planning Committee
• Revisions to CC&R’s – The proposed amended CC&R’s and ballots were mailed out in June, with the ballots due back by 8/31/08. To date we have received 70 ballots. We would like to get back at least 115 ballots before we open the ballots.
• Relandscape Plan for Greenbelt – Karen Wiley and Marilyn Tipler will be meeting tomorrow with the landscape architect that had offered a free evaluation. We received a letter from the City regarding the free commercial landscape survey of our irrigation system. Due to the high volume of responses, they will not get to us until this fall.

A. Oaks North Community Center Architectural Review Committee (ONCC-ARC) – Karen Wiley reported that the ARC had a complaint about a shade cloth on a patio cover. The person complaining was concerned that this was a fire hazard. Ms. Wiley and Larry Allen went and looked at it and determined that the cloth was not a fire hazard.
