COMMITTEE REPORTS:
A. Maintenance … Karen Wiley
- Punch List – Ms. Wiley gave a new punch list to US Lawns. Almost all the items from the last punch list have been completed.
- Reseeding Bare Areas in Greenbelt – US Lawns aerated and re-seeded these area this past week. They are having a soil test done on some of the soil in the upper greenbelt area.
- Shared Slope with Villas – US Lawns is still trying to get in touch with the landscaper for the Villas to coordinate the cleaning out of the brow ditch between the two properties. US Lawns has removed the small pine tree on our portion of this slope and trimmed the palm tree.
- Plants at Entry – A proposal was submitted and approved for $415 for new plants at the entrances. The planting was done on 10/5/06.
- Water Valve Replacement – A proposal was submitted and approved for $175 to replace a broken water valve. The work was done last week.
- Pest Infestation of Eucalyptus Trees – The trees were inspected by an arborist from Palomar Tree Sprayers. They do not recommend spraying the trees, but use injections. However, because of the number of trees we have, the cost would be astronomical. The arborist suggests we do nothing at this point to treat the problem. The pest (tortoise beetle) goes dormant in the winter.
- Tree Trimming Work – Larry Allen will get Sutton Tree out to give us their recommendations and a bid for tree trimming work. We will split the work between the end of this year and the beginning of next year.

There was discussion on whether or not we should amend the amendment clause first to lower the requirements in order to insure getting the entire document passed. The Board opted to do this and will put an article in the upcoming newsletter.
