COMMITTEE REPORTS:
A. Maintenance … Karen Wiley
- Punch List – Ms. Wiley noted that all items on the last punch list were completed. A new list was given to US Lawns. One of the trees in the Citrus grove may be getting too much water and appears to be dying. US Lawns is working on the problem.
- Reseeding Bare Areas in Greenbelt – The grass is looking better. US Lawns will reseed the bad areas this week.
- Nut Grass – Ms. Wiley contacted Mrs. Schimmel and explained the reasons why the Association would not use the chemicals to treat the Nut Grass. The landscapers will continue to remove the Nut Grass by hand.
- Plants at Entry – The new plants were installed on 7/21/06. The heat did affect the plants and we lost some. The rabbits continue to be a problem.
- Removal of Pine Tree on Via Nasca – Sutton Tree removed this tree on 7/20/06 for $300.
- Shared Slope with Villas – We met with the representatives from the Villas and they claim there was a verbal agreement between the two Associations to take turns cleaning out the drainage swale on the slope. US Lawns has been advised of this and will clean out the swale at this time.
- It was noted that there is a small Pine tree in the Common Area behind 12978 Cam. Ramillette. US Lawns will look at removing this tree.
- Irrigation Controller at Via Nasca – The controller at this location is malfunctioning. We have a bid of $230 from US Lawns to replace this 6 station controller. A motion was duly made by Marilyn Tipler and seconded by Karen Wiley to approve the $230 for the new controller. Motion carried.
- Status of Entry Lighting – Jim Coote has received the two new light fixtures. One will be installed to replace the broken fixture and the other will be kept as a back-up. Davey Tree did pay us for half the cost to replace the broken fixture.
