COMMITTEE REPORTS:
A. Maintenance … Karen Wiley
- Punch List – Ms. Wiley noted that all items on the last punch list were completed. A new list was given to US Lawns.
- Plants in Citrus Grove – There was a problem with the irrigation that has been corrected. Warren Hess has relinquished maintenance of the grove to US Lawns.
- Reseeding Bare Areas in Greenbelt – One area is doing well, the other is full of weeds and looks very dry. US Lawns repaired the irrigation in this area. They will aerate and reseed this area.
- Irrigation Problems – Ms. Wiley asked about the irrigation times. The replacement Hunter heads were installed at a cost of $188.28. Ms. Wiley asked to be notified each month when the irrigation inspection is done.
- Nut Grass – We have received reports of Nut grass coming up again in some slope areas. US Lawns stated that there is only one chemical that is used to treat this grass and it is very expensive. They will look into applying this chemical to the Nut grass on the slopes.
- Plants at Entry – The rabbits continue to eat the new plants we install. Discussion on the bid from US Lawns for $520 for all new plantings. This installation should be delayed until the painting work on the wall is completed. A motion was duly made by Karen Wiley and seconded by Jay Riesenberg to approve up to $520 for entry plants, with the plants being installed after the wall is painted. Motion carried.
- Concrete Posts – It was the consensus of the Board not to replace these posts.
- Palm Tree Trimming Bids – Karen Wiley got a bid from Davey Tree to trim the Palms at the entry for $1450. Larry Allen got another bid from Sutton Tree that was higher. Discussion. A motion was duly made by Karen Wiley and seconded by Jay Riesenberg to approve up to $1450 to trim the entry Palms. Motion carried.
- Bid to Remove Pine Tree on Via Nasca – The roots from this large Pine tree are damaging the underground pipes. The arborist states that if we do root surgery it will compromise the stability of the tree. We have 2 bids to cut the tree down ($800 & $675). Discussion. A motion was duly made by Karen Wiley and seconded by Jim
