COMMITTEE REPORTS:
A. Landscape Maintenance
- Report by Benchmark on Irrigation/Reseeding in Greenbelt – All irrigation repairs are done. They changed every nozzle on the greenbelt and there is much better coverage. We will run the irrigation for 20 minutes at a time when the clocks are turned back on. There are 5 more heads that still need to be replaced. The water pressure was checked and is at 65 psi. May need to add some heads at the upper end, by the Winery, where the drip system is on the same line. Aeration will be done this week and the hydro-seeding will be done on Monday.
- Karen Wiley noted that there is more gopher activity. Benchmark will follow up.
- Karen Wiley had pointed out to Benchmark when the contract was first awarded which ice plant slopes that are the responsibility of the Association. There are weeds on these slopes. Benchmark will follow up.
- Entry Plantings – We have a bid of $1556 to repair all the heads at the entry area and to install 2 – 15 gallon Pygmy Date Palms. Discussion. This is in addition to the $1200 in plantings approved at the last meeting. A motion was duly made by Marilyn Tipler and seconded by Jim Coote to approve the bid of $1556. Motion carried. This work will be done next week.
- Benchmark noted that there are three irrigation clocks that need to be replaced. These will need new pads and covers. The clocks, with the weather stations, are $578 each. Discussion. Will get a firm bid on what is needed for next month.
- We had received a complaint about the ice plant cuttings along Paseo del Verano Norte not being removed. Benchmark will follow up.
- Entry Lighting - Jim Coote reported all the lights are working.
B. Communications/Newsletter –The Board reviewed the articles to go in this newsletter. It was suggested we include a Neighborhood Watch article on break-ins in Rancho Bernardo by people posing to be landscapers.

Committee Reports (continued)
C. Long Range Planning – We have a bid from Benchmark to install mulch areas in the greenbelt where turf would be removed around tree groupings. This bid is for $29,286. This work could not be done unless approved by the members. Discussion. Perhaps we could put out a ballot on this matter when we do the Board elections in November. It was suggested that we have a special meeting to present the enhancement project to the members before the ballots are mailed out. Also, put photos of the proposed changes in the newsletter. We will discuss further next month.
CORRESPONDENCE – None.
FINANCIAL REPORT … Marilyn Tipler
A. Financial Statement - The statement ending 3/31/10 was reviewed and approved. We are $13,345 under budget year-to-date.
B. Delinquent Accounts – There is only one delinquent account. The bank has taken back the property and it has been sold. We will collect the monies owed in escrow.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
A. Oaks North Community Center Architectural Review Committee (ONCC-ARC) – Karen Wiley reported that there were two issues this month. The first was at 12980 Ave. Marbella where a fence has been installed. The fence is 4 feet 9 inches. The ARC had approved the fence, but a couple of neighbors did not like the location of the fence. The other issue was at 12915 Ave. Marbella where a storage shed was being proposed. The original location was too visible. The Board viewed the yard and suggested an alternate location and a smaller shed. The ARC approved using our suggestions and it has been installed. Marilyn Tipler reported a complaint about water draining out of the yard at 12935 Ave. Marbella. Carol Brinkley called the resident about the problem, who let the management company know to make repairs.
B. Mailboxes - Marilyn Tipler has reviewed the mailboxes again and second letters are being sent out.
C. Rules for Dogs on Greenbelt – To be voted on at the 6/21/10 Board meeting.

With no further business to be brought before the Board, the meeting adjourned at 10:57 a.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Wendy DeVuyst,
