Rancho Bernardo Neighborhood Watch Program needed in Marbella

Although there is very little evidence that it is being implemented in Marbella, the Rancho Bernardo Neighborhood Watch Program should be of vital importance to residents of Rancho Bernardo. I have added a link to its website in the Links column to the right. It is well worth exploring. The following is taken from its website:

Our Motto: Neighbors Helping Neighbors - Living Safe And Secure.

Purpose:

Rancho Bernardo Neighborhood Watch, in partnership with the San Diego Police Department, has the finest and largest Neighborhood Watch program in San Diego. Hundreds of block captains, area coordinators, and district coordinators make this important program work. Crime is down throughout San Diego. We know we're helping!

The NHW/EPP Board of Advisors meets 6 times a year and consists of district coordinators from each of the seven RB communities, a Public Relations Coordinator and a Training Coordinator, Computer Services and Training, Map Making, Crime Statistics, Recruitment and Recognition, as well as close partnership with Emergency Preparedness.

Neighborhood Watch involves neighbors getting to know each other, sharing important safety information and resources, and learning to recognize suspicious persons and activities to report to the police.

Citizen involvement is essential to combat crime; there can't be a law enforcement officer on every corner. Neighbors must learn crime prevention strategies such as home security, personal safety, and operation identification. They need to learn about the many community, city, and state resources available to them. There are Neighborhood Watch Seminars open to all residents with excellent professionals speaking on safety, awareness, scams and frauds, crisis intervention, problem solving, and the many services the police and other agencies offer us as citizens.
Neighborhood Watch in Rancho Bernardo is funded entirely by donations from the community.

Please call us if you wish to be a part of this dynamic organization. There are many opportunities to be a part of our great partnership with Rancho Bernardo and the police. We'll help you every step of the way and show you that helping people can be fun.

Call (858) 538-8148 and ask for Gary Carlson, Neighborhood Watch Director for RB.
